The GP-40's sure are neat, I just need more! Converted to battery power and added after market sound.

Understand your affection for the GP-40's. They are my favorite engine of all the engines that I have. I have three GP-40's that started out as Burlington Northern, and are now K&E (the name of my shortline railroad). They are sweet running engines. One of my three engines has the stock 2nd generation motorblocks, and two that I run in tandem all the time have been converted to U25B/RS3/FA1 motorblocks, and hence draw less current.

I run all of my engines on battery power with the Revolution system for control, and Phoenix sound added to them. Definitely great runners!!! Sounds like you are using the same sound that I am. That Rock Island color system is cool looking too.

Nice sound system in a beautiful locomotive! We have never had one of these on our railroad but always wanted one for kids to run with our other equipment. This is the first GP40 I have ever seen up close and i'm impressed! Nice, locomotive!
Thanks for showing it. :) Ken ISKOT
