I just finished up the engine house. I’m happy with how it turned out. The wall panels from Colorado Structures are easy to work with. The engine house is about 60” long (each wall panel is 10”) so its easily long enough to store my mallet or anything else I want to leave out on the track. It will be nice to have the option on not having to bring in my heavy locomotives all the time. I’m always nervous about breaking something when I handle them.

I would like to add some interior lighting at some point.

Thanks. I feel I got a lot done this summer. It's good to have time to enjoy it even if the snow is on the way.

Mike,

As a new comer to the forum I have enjoyed following your efforts building the CNR. The engine house looks great! Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences and photos with all of us. I look forward to seeing more in the days ahead.
Snow? Weren't we all melting in the heat just a couple of weeks ago?

Around here we usually get the first snow around Halloween if not shortly after. I’m already scraping frost of my truck windows in the morning. :(

Wow, that is awesome, Mike. And here I am in Florida all excited because the highs all this week won't get out of the 80's. Your yard sure looks pretty though. I didn't let my wife see your pictures as she misses the snow!
