Great Day for Steaming

Post by Arlon R. Sibert » Sat Aug 27, 2016 11:55 pm

Today was great weather, No 100 + deg. (88) nice breeze, Made three runs with the 0-4-0 @ twenty min. each. Preruns for next Sat. at Clark Lords for the resumption of our monthly steamups. Haven't had the 0-4-0 on the tracks since May.

Fire 'em up guys & gals the weather is turning fine...

I agree, Arlon. I wasn't "steaming", but after being away for almost 4 months, my railroad was hard to even find with all the weeds growing over and around it. But today, I finally got all 500' of my mainline running, and was able to run my first coal train out to the coal tipple and back tot he power plant. Felt good!!!!

Hi Ed,
after all that leisure I guess you might need to work of a calorie or two. Your RR sounds almost like a fallen flag but I know the pleasure you must feel getting it up and running again. Those guys at the load out and the power plant must have been pleased to see a train again. :D
