Painting a undecorated Aristo RS3

Post by Kevin Kavic » Thu Oct 02, 2014 12:28 am

I have never painted a undecorated Aristo item. Everything I have done was shot with primer first and then painted after the original lettering was
removed.
Any tips for starting from plain undecorated?

If U have the facilities available, I'd recommend a light bead blasting for both new work & repaints...
Its absolutely the cat's-meow for surface cleaning & prep... Its also a real time saver, U can have a
piece ready to paint in a few minutes... I've used the method for hundreds of paint jobs, an absolutely
recommend it...

I usually disassemble the unit and wash all the body parts in warm soapy water and rinse then air dry. Then paint. Later RJD
