Thank You Gents for the input !

So I guess I'll first look at confirming orientation, if req'd dropping the motorblocks and reverse them .. floppy axles to the hood ends (if i re'd your comments correctly !?) .

I also still have a unopened (yellow box ) PRR unit, also acquired at a terrific $ point, thru a local shops ebay selling (probably 5 yrs ago now) off their purchase of a (usa) HS stock !

I do seem to have a great opportunity (unpack both black'n yellow) to do a comparison of some of those differences in production models I've read about ...

Also Ted D. rolled out a recent how-to tutorial on upgrades to BB motor blocks and weighting;

I spotted it on Teds' LSC thread;

p.s. want to unpack these 2 units ASAP for a photo op', and submit them for upgrading the existing UnCatalog pics (unreal IMHO) :) ! I prefer pics similiar to what I submitted for the CN D'9 and other production items. http://aristodatabase.x10host.com/
Good track work goes a long way on the performace of this loco. Later RJD

I found that running of the RDC-3, reeeally finds the rough/unlevel spots on trackage !!

Should almost repaint it into say, a MoW Co. Track Testing unit :)

Here again good track work is a big factor plus the RDC is a long rigid loco and very picky about track.. I have never had to reverse any of my trucks on any of the locos mentioned and all run well. Later RJD
